Subscriptions

The American Journal of Archaeology (ISSN 002-9114) is published four times a year, in January, April, July, and October, by the Archaeological Institute of America. To subscribe please complete the subscription form and send it to the Institute headquarters in Boston.

Subscription Options

There are several subscription options for the AJA. Beginning with the January 2008 issue, subscribers may opt for a standard print subscription, an electronic version of the printed Journal, or an upgrade to a combination (“combo”) package that includes both the printed and electronic Journal.

The electronic AJA is hosted by Atypon and includes features such as:

• regularly updated links to articles that have cited the current article
• interactive PDFs with dynamically generated, regularly refreshed links to external bibliographic databases
• decreased file sizes, meaning faster download times without losing the original layout and structure of the articles
• full text and reference linking in a screen-ready and printer-friendly format

Once payment is received for your subscription, the forms and information necessary to access the electronic Journal will be forwarded to you.

How To Subscribe

Subscriptions must be sent to the Institute headquarters in Boston. Please print out and fax or mail the subscription form . An email address is required for all electronic and combo subscriptions. An electronic subscription activiation form is sent to subscribers to the electronic edition upon payment.

Please note the following restrictions:

1. Payment must accompany all orders.
2. Payments can be made by check, international money order (in U.S. dollars drawn on a U.S. bank), or by credit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, or Discover); please include the complete billing address and the expiration date of the card).
3. Back start orders are not accepted.
4. Standing orders are not accepted.
5. Claims must be made within 90 days of publication for domestic subscriptions and 180 days for international subscriptions.

AJA articles from issues dating through 2002 are also available through JSTOR as part of its Arts and Sciences II collection to individuals at participating institutions. Information regarding JSTOR is available at www.jstor.org. Individuals without authorized full-text access to the JSTOR archive who locate an article through search engines or linking partners may purchase the requested article via credit card.
