Gretel Rodríguez

Gretel Rodríguez is assistant professor of ancient art in the Department of the History of Art and Architecture at Brown University. Her research deals with the art and archaeology of the Roman empire, with a focus on monumental architecture. Her interests include issues of identity and commemoration, the ancient reception of art and architecture, and the transformation of indigenous artistic practices in colonial contexts. She currently holds a Getty/ACLS postdoctoral fellowship in the history of art.
