Rodney Ast

Rodney Ast is a Senior Research and Teaching Associate in the Institute for Papyrology at the University of Heidelberg. His main areas of interest are papyrology and epigraphy; the cultural and social history of Greco-Roman Egypt; Egyptian archaeology; and digital papyrology. He has edited several books and numerous articles concerned with Greek and Latin papyrological and inscriptional texts from Roman Egypt and North Africa. He takes part regularly in excavations at Berenike on Egypt's Red Sea coast and at Amheida in the Dakhla Oasis.
