Ville Hakanen

Ville Hakanen is a Ph.D. candidate in the Doctoral School of History and Cultural Heritage at the University of Helsinki within the discipline of Art History. His dissertation explores Roman erotic mythological art from a normative perspective with a focus on the representations of Ganymede. As a member of the Expeditio Pompeiana Universitatis Helsingiensis (The Pompeii Project of the University of Helsinki) Ville has participated in field work in Pompeii as well as the publication of the finds excavated by the project.
