James Frederick Gerrard

James Gerrard is a lecturer in Roman archaeology at Newcastle University, United Kingdom. Previously, he worked at the University of Cambridge and in contract archaeology. His research interests include the end of the Roman empire; Roman material culture (particularly pottery and coinage), and Early Medieval Britain. He currently directs a landscape research project investigating the hinterland of the Late Roman villa at Lufton, in southwest England.
