Brenda Longfellow

Brenda Longfellow is an associate professor of art history at the University of Iowa. Her research interests include Roman monumental fountains, the patronage of imperial monuments, and the reuse of sculpture in imperial building projects. Her book, Roman Imperialism and Civic Patronage: Form, Meaning, and Ideology in Monumental Fountain Complexes (Cambridge 2011), discusses the patronage of Roman monumental fountains during the first through third centuries C.E.
