Elizabeth P. Baughan

Elizabeth P. Baughan is assistant professor of classics and archaeology at the University of Richmond. Her research focuses on ancient furniture, banqueting ideologies, and cultural identity in Archaic and Persian-period Anatolia, especially Lydia. She earned her doctorate in classical archaeology at the University of California, Berkeley, and is currently completing a book on Anatolian funerary klinai as a fellow of the Center for Hellenic Studies. Since 2009, she has served as field supervisor for Bilkent University’s excavations at Hacımusalar Höyük in northern Lycia.
