Michael B. Cosmopoulos
Michael B. Cosmopoulos is the Hellenic Government-Karakas Foundation Professor of Greek Studies and professor of archaeology at the University of Missouri-St. Louis. His fields of interest include the Aegean Bronze Age, the emergence of states, and Greek mystery cults. He has excavated at several sites in Greece and Ukraine and is currently the director of the Iklaina Archaeological Project (www.iklaina.org). He has received the Archaeological Institute of America Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching Award and the Outstanding Scientist Award from the Academy of Science-St. Louis, of which he is a fellow.
